Today we have attended a half day birding tour organized by Joan Ventura from IAEDEN. We have visited some Olot urban parks trying to get the most of them. And we have done! We have started at Parc Nou (wpt), were the Vulcanoes Museum is. It has been a great start. We have seen there Green, Great Spotted and Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, Hawfinches, Bullfinches, Nuthatches, Greenfinches and many Chaffinches. After an hour or so, we have moved to La Font Moixina (wpt). It's a 20 minutes walk that allows you to see Meadows Pipits, Black Redstarts or some raptors as Sparrowhawks. At La Font Moixina we have had to deal with many broken branches and trees on the trail. However. we have seen many Nutchatches, Winter Wrens, Caffinches, Hawfinches, a couple of Siskins or a nice coloured Firecrest. When we have finished there, we moved to the Fluvià river (wpt), where we have seen a nice Dipper and some Gray Wagtails. It was almost lunch time, but we have decided to go the Ser river (wpt), where an otter had been regularly seen the previous weeks. We saw it! Great! We left the group (they were going home) and we went to have lunch at Can Morgat Lagoons (wpt). We expected to see some waterfowl there, but it was empty. After having lunch we had a quick scan at the Banyoles Lake (wpt) were nothing special was seen and we ended the tour.Spices seen: Little Grebe, Great Cormorant, Gray Heron, Squacco Heron, Mallard, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Eurasian Buzzard, Eurasian Kestrel, Ring-necked Pheasant, Common Moorhen, Eurasian Coot, Northern Lapwing, Yellow-legged Gull, Black-headed Gull, Common Wood-Pigeon, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Crested Lark, Meadow Pipit, White Wagtail, Gray Wagtail, Firecrest, White-throated Dipper, Winter Wren, Eurasian Blackbird, Redwing, Song Thrush, Cetti's Warbler, Common Chiffchaff, Blackcap, European Robin, Black Redstart, European Stonechat, Long-tailed Tit, Great Tit, Eurasian Blue Tit, Eurasian Nuthatch, Short-toed Treecreeper, Eurasian Jay, Eurasian Magpie, Eurasian Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, European Starling, House Sparrow, Eurasian Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, European Greenfinch, Eurasian Siskin European Goldfinch, European Serin, Eurasian Bullfinch, Hawfinch
